Sung by Preston Orpheus Choir.

About the piece

A short introit for unaccompanied SATB choir, ideal for opening a carol service.

It uses the same words as Britten's A Boy was Born, from a 16th-century German carol: “A Boy was born in Bethlehem, rejoice for that, Jerusalem. Alleluia.”

The score includes a piano reduction of the voice parts for rehearsal.

Singing it?

You're welcome to print as many copies as your choir needs. Robin would love to hear when and where it's sung.
