About the piece

Written in 2026, this jazz-inspired Mass takes some themes from the All Saints' Mass and gives them different harmonic twists and jazz rhythms.

The Kyries are in a slow blues style and the Gloria includes a nod to big band swing. The Sanctus has a toe-tapping Hosanna section, before the Agnus Dei closes the Mass with a soprano solo over the choir in a sultry blues style.

It is scored for piano, but could easily be adapted for bass and drum kit too. An interesting and slightly different Mass setting to ring the changes.

Singing it?

You're welcome to print as many copies as your choir needs. Robin would love to hear when and where it's sung.
